I am a fitness junkie, a sneaker connoisseur, a lover of anything pink, a daily you tube user, and a certified personal trainer and group x instructor. It is my mission to show each client, gym member and class participant just what their bodies can do. My fitness philosophy is focused around "What can your body do?", changing the focus from what we look like to how our bodies perform and function. The Fitness with a Purpose Newsletter and Blog is a place where you can find tips, tools, and tactics on how to make fitness a lifestyle and maximize each workout and meal to enable you to become as fit and healthy as possible. This is also a place where I share my personal experiences with my own fitness and quest to see just what my body can do when I set a goal and do what ever is possible to achieve that goal. Consistent action produces consistent results!

In 24 months, what do you want for yourself?

Today in a staff meeting, our fearless leader, Mr. Beto, asked each fitness specialist a stellar question. What do you want for yourself and your business in 24 months? I sat with eyes wide opened. Once again, I was reminded effortlessly of why I am proud to be a trainer at Pure Austin.

Establishing goals and believing in my dreams is how I became a Fitness Specialist at Pure Austin. I dreamed a little dream, but dreamed it big, believed in it, and knew that somehow it would be fulfilled. I dreamed with hope, healthy fear, and feverish determination. I followed through. I was given a chance by a like minded individual, and today my heart is settled and pumping loudly.

In 24 months I will be:
1. Working at Pure Austin
2. Fully knowledgeable in sports specific conditioning, kettle bell training, power lifting, injury prevention, sports nutrition, running specific training, goal setting, and digital progress tracking
3. a certified Fitness professional nutrition specialist
4. Teaching 4-6 classes, running 2 year long clinics and training 35 hours a week
5. In the process of going back to school, free lance writing, writing one column a week for our local newspapers and/or magazine, and managing a popular blog that has gained the eye of the national public
6. Training for my first marathon and Ironman without injury
7. Traveling to Greece
8. Living in a house with one room dedicated to "Training " - Flat screen, large collection of workout videos, steps, monkey bars, pull up bars, dumbbells, kettle bells, bike trainer, treadmill, Free motion cable cross machine
9. Computer literate
10. Interviewed by a reporter asking me about why I do what I do.

In an increasingly busy world, it is easy to become stuck in a habitual pattern of going through the motions of life. However, without dreams and note pads filled with things we want to do and need to do, we will remain stale and stagnant. Life will pass by, and even though we may think that we are happy and suffice, are we fulfilled and enlightened, and constantly but steadily moving forward.

What do you want for yourself in 24 months.

See you in the gym
