I am a fitness junkie, a sneaker connoisseur, a lover of anything pink, a daily you tube user, and a certified personal trainer and group x instructor. It is my mission to show each client, gym member and class participant just what their bodies can do. My fitness philosophy is focused around "What can your body do?", changing the focus from what we look like to how our bodies perform and function. The Fitness with a Purpose Newsletter and Blog is a place where you can find tips, tools, and tactics on how to make fitness a lifestyle and maximize each workout and meal to enable you to become as fit and healthy as possible. This is also a place where I share my personal experiences with my own fitness and quest to see just what my body can do when I set a goal and do what ever is possible to achieve that goal. Consistent action produces consistent results!

Choice

We are not perfect, nor will we ever be. We were just not meant to be. Would we really want to be perfect? Wouldn't that be even more pressure? And do we need more pressure?

We will make mistakes, and we will continue making mistakes. We were definitely meant to. How would we learn if we did not make mistakes?

We will have very bad days. We will eat too much. We will not exercise at all. We will sit and sulk, feel sorry for ourselves, beat ourselves up about not being perfect and making too many mistakes that we think we should know better about.

We will be stagnant at times, and we will fall backwards, directly on our bottom or even our head. There will be days, months, or even years where forward progression is minimal and the effort to just stay afloat is exhausting and full of struggle.

There will be heart wrenching moments in our lives that we question if we are worth the fight to move forward and if we are physically and emotionally capable of the feat, and we will not have any answers to the many questions that may suffocate our breath.

And there will be many days when we just don't feel like doing anything, when fighting and being strong and moving forward is just not in our vocabulary, and we will chuckle at anyone who tries to tell us that we are full of potential and all we have to do is just put one foot in front of the other in order to see progression.

We are not perfect. We will make many mistakes. We will have very bad days. We will stand still. We will question our self-worth. We will have those days when we will want to just throw in the towel.

But we will also have many more days of strength, perseverance, laughter, confidence, success, and love. We will embrace our imperfections. We will learn glorious things about ourselves through our mistakes. We will live great days, eat wonderful food, workout five days a week, and sit with our friends and talk about our achievements. We will stand in front of a mirror and marvel at the reflection that we see. We will be filled with pride and joy that we spent time on ourselves and the results now show. We will progress with time, move forward with effort, and we will want to do everything possible in order to achieve what we have dreamt about.

This is the beauty of life and choice. We choose our direction. We choose our walk in life. We choose to be. And that is fundamental, vital, and the most important point of life. We choose to be.
