I am a fitness junkie, a sneaker connoisseur, a lover of anything pink, a daily you tube user, and a certified personal trainer and group x instructor. It is my mission to show each client, gym member and class participant just what their bodies can do. My fitness philosophy is focused around "What can your body do?", changing the focus from what we look like to how our bodies perform and function. The Fitness with a Purpose Newsletter and Blog is a place where you can find tips, tools, and tactics on how to make fitness a lifestyle and maximize each workout and meal to enable you to become as fit and healthy as possible. This is also a place where I share my personal experiences with my own fitness and quest to see just what my body can do when I set a goal and do what ever is possible to achieve that goal. Consistent action produces consistent results!

What is your game plan for the New Year?

It is December 30th! Do you have a game plan for the New Year? Are you filled with thoughts about setting New Years Resolutions and how to obtain them? Is fitness part of those resolutions? Have you been in struggle with a consistent exercise regimen and a healthy nutrition program? Are you thinking "Where do I begin? How do I start making fitness a lifestyle?"

As the new year approaches, let's begin organizing the thoughts that fill your mind and begin establishing a game plan to achieving your goals. Take inventory of all areas of your life!
  1. What are your fitness goals for 2009? Short term (6-8weeks) and Long term (12-20 weeks)
  2. What is your realistic exercise frequency and duration for each week?
  3. How will you improve your nutrition to complement your fitness goals?
  4. How will you implement adequate rest that increases your energy and improves how your body feels physically and mentally?
  5. What do you need and desire to accomplish daily, weekly, monthly, and annually to feel successful and fulfilled in all areas of your life?
Taking inventory of all areas of your life will help you develop a game plan for the new year to come. I firmly believe it's not just about the physical state of your body! Your body is a blue print of your mind! Therefore the health of your body is dependent on the health of your mind and your thought process. Establishing a fitness plan for your body will directly complement the fitness of your internal health!

This year, let's make it a priority to take care of ourselves, making fitness a lifestyle, improving and increasing the health of our body, our mind, and our soul!

See you in the gym!
