"To keep the body in good health is a duty....otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear."
When we feel good about our body, our mind will be strong and clear. When we are in good health, physically and mentally, positive self-esteem will prevail, and confidence will be evident. It is our duty to take care of ourselves! It is most important to set ourselves up for success!
Each morning I develop a game plan for the day and for the week as a whole. I set myself up for success. It is a must for me to know what the day and the week has in store so I never feel one or two steps behind. Knowing my schedule and my client roster for the week enables me to develop a game plan and a to do list. Preparation allows opportunity to present itself! And there's nothing better than the possibility of opportunity!
Knowledge is power, and knowing the plan for the week is my special force. When I am in control of the many things that I have to and want to accomplish for the week, I then feel empowered for success, moving forward rather than taking steps backwards due to not being prepared for what may be thrown at me unexpectedly.
When in control of what the week has in store for me and what may unexpectedly interrupt forward movement, I am able to accomplish all tasks on my list. This includes exercise! I am asked daily how do I do it. How do I get up at 4:30am, train 8 hours a day, eat healthy, exercise, spend time with my special someone, and still find time to sleep 7 hours?
I am not going to tell you it's easy. I am not going to give credit to a special powder or an unexplainable internal force that makes me keep going and going. I will admit that I do get incredibly tired and sore. I will also admit that there are days when I just don't want to get up!
I will confess moodiness at times, irritability as well, and an incredible urge to emotionally eat all of the chocolate that whole foods sells!
I will tell you that I am able to do all that I do because I have developed a weekly game plan. My weekly game plan first consists of knowing my short and long term goals. These goals enable me to set up my priorities. Knowing my priorities for the week will allow me to organize tasks and specific appointments. This in turn will enable me to schedule clients, my personal workouts, and dates with my special someone according to what I have and want to do for the week. I do this all with a realistic perspective! Setting myself up for the week does involve a great deal of motivation, however, I do my best to remain within reason and a rational mind set.
Planning my nutritional game plan contributes immensely to the success of the week! When properly nourished and hydrated I am energetic and my mind is clear and settled. When my blood sugar is balanced and my body is fed I do not feel lazy, sluggish, and irritated. Packing my meals for the days and healthy snacks to fight off the blood sugar lows keeps me feeling energetic and calm.
Setting yourself up for success is strategic. Knowing your goals and priorities will enable you to develop a game plan for the day, for the week, and for the year. Taking inventory of what you need to accomplish to feel successful will enable you to feel on top of your to do list. Eating properly and resting adequately will give you energy and provide you with a balanced mind. Making a fitness appointment at least 3xs a week will boost your self-esteem and confidence.
The beauty of success and that it is completely up to us! We are in control! We are fully responsible of the outcome of our thoughts and actions! This is the exciting part! We can do what ever we want to, desire to, and dream to do!
What is your success game plan?
