I am a fitness junkie, a sneaker connoisseur, a lover of anything pink, a daily you tube user, and a certified personal trainer and group x instructor. It is my mission to show each client, gym member and class participant just what their bodies can do. My fitness philosophy is focused around "What can your body do?", changing the focus from what we look like to how our bodies perform and function. The Fitness with a Purpose Newsletter and Blog is a place where you can find tips, tools, and tactics on how to make fitness a lifestyle and maximize each workout and meal to enable you to become as fit and healthy as possible. This is also a place where I share my personal experiences with my own fitness and quest to see just what my body can do when I set a goal and do what ever is possible to achieve that goal. Consistent action produces consistent results!

What are you working for?
Is it worth it?

You are a member of a gym. You have a trainer. You have established your short term goals and your long term goals. You have envisioned what you would like to look like. You know that you feel better when you are fit and healthy. You know that you sleep better when you feel good about yourself and when you are successful and accomplished.

However there are days when your motivation and determination have abandoned you, when the mirror is playing terrible tricks on you, when your work and school schedule prohibit you to keep your appointment with your trainer, and when your exercise game plan seems anything but possible. There are days when you just don't understand why the scale is not budging and why your clothes still feel snug. There are days when you just want to quit, days when you begin to reconsider magic pills, and those down right frustrating days of thinking that you will never reach your goals, that you will never fit into those skinny jeans.

These days are the days when you ask yourself two very important questions:
What are you working for? and Is it worth it? Simple. When you are tired and feel defeated and accomplishing your goals seem nearly impossible, ask yourself those two questions. The answer to these questions reach beyond short term and long term goals. It is more than that. The answer to these questions lie deep in your soul, embedded in your thoughts, and it is what drives you to keep pushing through all of the obstacles that jump right out in front of you just when you feel as if you are making progress.

Everyone asks me all of the time how do I do it? How do I keep working long hours and teaching classes when my body aches and I have nothing left to give? I keep on pushing because I know exactly what I am working for and it is completely and utterly worth it. Bottom line! Everything that I want to do and accomplish and be known for is why I keep waking up hours before dawn and going to bed hours after sunset. It is my drive and motivation. It is the reason why I do my best every day to never give in to the external forces.

I know that the external forces are undoubtedly present. I just want each of you to know that you are so worth everything that you are working hard for. Each of you deserve everything that you dream of and aspire to. It is a pleasure be a part of your mission. Be strong, know what you are working for, and know that you are worth every bit of it!

See you in the gym..................................
