I am a fitness junkie, a sneaker connoisseur, a lover of anything pink, a daily you tube user, and a certified personal trainer and group x instructor. It is my mission to show each client, gym member and class participant just what their bodies can do. My fitness philosophy is focused around "What can your body do?", changing the focus from what we look like to how our bodies perform and function. The Fitness with a Purpose Newsletter and Blog is a place where you can find tips, tools, and tactics on how to make fitness a lifestyle and maximize each workout and meal to enable you to become as fit and healthy as possible. This is also a place where I share my personal experiences with my own fitness and quest to see just what my body can do when I set a goal and do what ever is possible to achieve that goal. Consistent action produces consistent results!

This is what I have learned this week:

1. I am the most productive between 4am and 6am.

2. I love my job as a trainer and group instructor. I absolutely just love and am proud to work at Pure Austin and be a part of a fantastic group of people.

3. I have an amazing group of clients whom have become my friends. They are compassionate listeners, intelligent people, and loving individuals.

4. I am a fit and strong athlete, even this week, when working out and training was the last thing I wanted to do.

5. When I moved here I wanted to find my husband. Now, 14 months later, I have found myself.

6. There has to be more than love when in a relationship with a significant other. For me, as I have just discovered this week, I need more.......

7. As I worked in the restaurant business for 15 years, I was surrounded by people and friends. Most of the time, we did everything together. Friendships were built in. Now that I am not serving tables and going for a beer after work, making friends requires more effort and time. Just like I don't want to wake up one day and not be in love, I also do not want to wake up and have no one to go shopping with.

8. My father and mother are exceptional listeners. Growing up, I use to say they never listened to me. This week, as my heart ached, it was each of them who helped me pull through.

9. For the first time in my life, I can admit that I am not ready for a relationship. And I say this with pride and self-respect. What am I ready for? Friendship, humor, laughter, companionship, coffee talks, barton springs girl talk, and silence.

10. Finding your wings can be challenging. Attempting to leave the nest can result in many bruises and broken wings. However, strength is defined by the willingness to keep on attempting flight.
